General Regulations

The purpose of the festival is to create an open space for the development of cultural international contacts in the field of musical arts, to cultivate respect for achievements in world culture among children and youth, and to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding among children from different countries. The festival is organized under the patronage of:

  • The Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic
  • The Senate of the Czech Republic
  • Vadim Petrov School of Arts
  • Alvaro Gomes Music Foundation
  • Jan Deyl Conservatory of Prague.

Participation in the festival is open to groups of various genres:

  • academic, folk, and mixed choirs,
  • children’s and youth choirs,
  • vocal ensembles and soloists,
  • choreographic ensembles and soloists,
  • orchestras and string, wind, and folk ensembles and soloists,
  • circus ensembles and soloists,
  • folk groups,
  • fashion theaters,
  • musical theaters,
  • and more.

Children from 4 years old, youth, and adults with no age limit. Exceptions can be made in certain cases, but these must be individually discussed with the organizing committee.

There is a 20% tolerance in the age limits for nominations.

The jury is appointed by the organizing committee and consists of esteemed personalities from Czech and European culture, as well as teachers from leading musical and choreographic institutions in Europe.

  • Overall impression (maximum 10 points)
  • Performance technique (maximum 10 points)
  • Acting performance (maximum 10 points)
  • Musical accompaniment (maximum 10 points)
  • Originality of the performance and presentation (maximum 10 points)
  • Costumes and appearance of props (maximum 10 points)
  •  

The jury determines the winners and presents the following diplomas to the festival participants:

  • Grand Prix
  • Laureate of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree
  • Diploma of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree
  • Festival Participant

Cash Prizes

  • 200 EURO (Grand Prix)

Cash Award:

The group awarded the Grand Prix will receive a cash prize of 200 Euros (two hundred Euros). The prize will be paid by bank transfer.

Deadline for Submitting Applications

The deadline for submitting applications is April 10, 2024.

Deadline for Submitting Materials

The deadline for submitting materials is April 15, 2024.

Material Review Period

Materials will be reviewed from April 10 to April 15. You will be contacted if there are any issues with your video or application.

Diplomas Dispatch Date

Diplomas will be sent on April 20, 2024.

Submission Requirements

Materials must be uploaded to YouTube (www.youtube.com) or Instagram.

Professional/Stage Video:

  • Festival fee: 25 EUR per group/soloist
  • Additional nomination: 20 EUR per group/soloist

Home Video:

  • Festival fee: 15 EUR per group/soloist
  • Additional nomination: 10 EUR per group/soloist

Additional Services (for an extra fee):

  • Video or written expert review by a jury member: 15 EUR (the format of the review depends on the jury member)
  • Mailing a paper version of the diploma: 10 EUR
  • Participation certificates for each participant:
    • 15 EUR (up to 10 participants)
    • 20 EUR (more than 10 participants)

Festival Participation Program (Steps)

Each participant of the competition (group or soloist) must submit an application. Payment is made by transferring funds to PayPal (from your bank card) in euros or to a bank account in Czech crowns.

In the application, the group/soloist must provide a link to the video (YouTube, Instagram, VK). The application must be sent via email to cyberart@pitagross.cz.

In response to the application, the organizing committee will send payment instructions.

Each participant of the competition (group or soloist) makes the payment. Further details will be sent via email.

The competition summary will take place from February 1 to April 10, 2024. The competition results will be published on April 20, 2024, on the website www.pitagross.cz in the Festivals – Festival Results section. Diplomas will be sent by April 20 (inclusive) via email in JPEG format.

Organizational Details

Each participant (group or soloist) must submit 1 competition video (max 5 min) in each nomination. The video must be published on YouTube or Instagram. No other video sources will be accepted for the competition.
